Before I truly understood, I left everything to fate.
I had a mindset of “If it’s yours, it will come to you.”
I didn’t work on my dreams.
I just waited for fate to bring them to me.
I thought that’s what it means to surrender your dreams to God…
To just let fate unfold.
One day, I woke up and realize that I’m still in the same place.
Not moving forward, but even going backward.
Inaction feeds fear, so not doing anything and just leaving everything to fate is not the answer.
What does it mean to surrender?
What does SURRENDER mean to you?
Does it mean you stop working on your dreams?
Faith and Fear
Let me tell you a story of two ambitious people named Faith and Fear.
On a stormy, rainy day, Faith went outside wearing her raincoat to go to the library to finish her project with Fear.
Down the road, she found Fear in a corner, hiding from the rain with a worried face.
“I brought an umbrella, let’s go together.” Said Faith.
“I can’t! The lightning bolts are driving me crazy. Aren’t you afraid?”
“I am, but we should get going.”
“I’m sorry but I can’t. You can leave me alone.”
Faith is determined to encourage Fear to conquer his worries.
“I’m not leaving you alone here.”
Faith gave him a hand and Fear’s eyes lightened up.
“We’re almost at the library. We can stay there and finish the project until the rain stops.” Faith added.
Fear stood up as he took Faith’s hand.
To make the story short…
They ran straight to the library.
Both afraid of the lightning bolts, but Faith’s encouragement and determination influenced Fear.
They both finished their goal and went home when the rain stopped, bringing the joy and victory in their faces.
The lesson in this simple story?
Faith will always conquer Fear.
Fear will stop you from taking action on good opportunities because when you fear, your thoughts live in the past and future – which are only illusions.
Inaction feeds Fear, but Faith inspires you to take action.
Faith makes you enjoy doing the things you do that lead to your goal.
Faith is innovative even in times of stormy days and hard times.
Fear gave up to Faith, because Faith always sparks another.
Fear is Distrust.
Faith is Trust.
To TRUST means to SURRENDER all your FEARS.
But how do you truly surrender?
It does not mean you ignore Fear.
It means you feel the Fear, but you still do it anyway.
Faith means that even with Fear, you trust the process.
Managing Your Fear
Most of us habitually try to repress our negative feelings.
We fear feeling fear, so we repress it out of fear, which causes more fear.
Fear is a human emotion, and all feelings are valid.
Know that it’s okay to feel fear.
The appropriate way to manage your fear is to accept it, feel it, and observe it without judgment.
Do not try to repress them or judge them that it’s not okay, and don’t act on it or let it control your behavior.
If you dare to face and feel it, it will eventually fade away, which will allow focus and better decisions to come in.
Journaling Fears
Have you tried writing down all your fears and then burn the paper to fire?
I did, and it feels like a huge boulder has lifted in me.
It’s not the one-time solution, but it does help to get back to your focus.
Try it yourself, and you’ll find out.
Writing down your fears is an excellent way to have awareness.
Awareness is an essential step in genuine change.
Write down all your fears, may it be small fears or serious fears.
After talking to God about them, write down your ideas on how to face them.
Then, burn your fears and surrender them to God.

When You Trust, You Relax!
If you are happy doing daily the things you do to reach your dreams, things will come to you smoothly and easily.
I found that if I’m desperate doing something to get what I want, I find it hard to achieve it along the process.
But if I’m relaxed and enjoy doing it, the blessings seem to attract to me easily even without much effort.
That’s the principle of the law of attraction.
If you’re trying hard, desperate, and worried, it’ll be hard for them to come to you as well.
And if you’re relaxed and enjoying it – having faith that your dreams are yours at the perfect time – circumstances will find you ways to make it easy for you to attain them.
That’s how you feel when you trust – you relax!
It applies to all aspects such as your relationships, your career, your health, and wealth.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Mark 11:24
What If Things Don’t Go Your Way?
I know how it feels to plan things firmly, and in the end, they all got wrecked by circumstances that led you to something you didn’t anticipate doing.
But then, I ended up here – a life that I enjoy.
A life that keeps me excited whenever I wake up in the morning to continue what I do to reach my dreams.
When things get hard, trust that you are led to a better way.
Things were shaken because God wants you to take His way, not your way.
Your way to your dreams might be good, but God is leading you to a better version of your dreams – because He knows best.
Like the famous quote, “When things seem to be not working out doesn’t mean it’s not working out.”
Meaning of “Surrender”
Surrendering your dreams means you pursue your dreams while you detach from the outcome.
It means enjoying the present moment of working on it one day at a time without ruminating the future.
It means having Faith to the Universe that no matter the outcome, it’s for the best reasons for a better version of your dreams.
It means you enjoy working on it because you trust the Universe that your dreams will come to you at the perfect timing.
It means surrendering all your worries because you trust Him.
When you fully trust, all your fears go away.
But how do you truly surrender?
It takes a daily decision.
You can’t just leave everything to fate.
You can’t just say, “I surrender my dream to God.” while deep inside your limiting beliefs are still lurking.
And no worries, we all can relate to this.
It’s not something we can change or apply at any moment.
It’s something we choose to learn in the process.
And by process means, you do it again and again.
I appreciate you having here with me.

I loved the story about Faith and Fear going to the library 📚. A fantastic way to visualize a life changing concept. This story is perfect for young children.
Thanks Garnet! Definitely a good metaphor for young children 🙂
This is such an excellent topic. I believe in the law of attraction and I believed in it (and practiced it) long before I knew it was a “thign” .
You have some rally solid advice, thanks for sharing 🙂
Hhhaaaaa….you have given me quite a lot to think about. I have a challenge facing my fears, many times.
And all it takes is a mustard seed of faith to move mountains. I just loved your story about faith and fear. A really good example of how fear can hold us back, but faith can pull us out of the darkness. Well done, my friend.
Faith is our superweapon in life. Thanks Jennifer 🙂
I do believe that faith has to do with fulfilling your dreams, but hard work and consistency are also incredibly important.
Faith is an interesting topic. Having faith in people trusting they say they will do what they will do. Having faith in God, trusting that he knows what is best and that things will work out. “The only thing to fear is fear itself.”
His will has always trumped mine. When the spirit hits, that is that. It means sacrificing any and every thing.
Great metaphors here,I enjoyed reading it,it’s full of lessons and positivity. Thanks for sharing..!
These quotes are an inspiration. Thanks for putting this together, it does help
our ways are far off than His ways. surrendering to Him all of ourselves mean letting Him take the way, because without Him, we are nothing….
Cha at Little MisadvenCHA
So true 🙂 thanks for sharing that.
I think managing fear is important. Sure failure is possible but we shouldnt dwell on that possible and look forward to things working in ones favor it they are persistent.
I really like your prose. Faith and surrender is something to think about.
Surrendering is super difficult for me. I have to work on it.
That’s okay. Surrendering takes repetition and process.
I think surrendering is a truly noble pursuit. It takes humility and strength.
This is an eye opening post. In every challenging time in my life, I surrender to the Will of God. It does not mean I drop all efforts, but I put my trust and faith in God that my hardships will result in something better for me.
Without faith, what are we left with? Thank you for your positive post and in your message to help unite your followers and the world that we live in.
A lot of metaphors and symbolism, I love it. these are interesting thoughts on fear, faith and strength
