#1 – Give More Compliments to Others
Giving genuine compliments to someone not only gives the receiver a warm feeling, seeing the receiver happy will make the giver happy as well. It goes both ways. Compliments are a great way to lift up someone’s mood. You may never know, you saved someone’s day who’s going through ugly events by giving him or her a genuine compliment. Whenever you think you can make someone smile, do it.
#2 – Give More Compliments to Yourself
Complimenting yourself is never a narcissism. Let’s be aware that narcissism is not love, while self-love is love. The more you see the good in yourself, the more you see and recognize the good in others.
#3 – Go to Bed On Time
This is kinda difficult for people who are a night person. But, they only became a night person out of forming the habit of not going to bed on time that trained their body clock to be active at night, which has others developed into insomnia. The same way goes for training your body to become a morning person. You train your body to go to bed on time until, eventually, you will notice your body wanting to go to sleep at an earlier time.
#4 – Early Rising
Early morning is my favorite time of the day. Early mornings have miracles. It makes us more proactive and productive. This is my ideal time to write, exercise, and meditate. If you want to learn something new such as physical activity, the best time to do it is early morning.
#5 – Morning Gratitude
Successful and happy people focus on what they have. Discontented people who always complain focus on the lack. Practicing gratitude, especially the moment you wake up, will train your mind to focus on the good side of life. The more grateful you are on what you have, and for who you are, the more good things will come to you because like attracts like.
#6 – Before Bed Gratitude
Do you know that your first thought in the morning is usually the last thought you had before you went to bed. Practicing gratitude before bed is as essential as practicing gratitude early morning. Gratitude will help you relax your mind and to have a better sleep and can even help take away insomnia over time when it becomes a habit.
#7 – Reading books
We become the books we read. Reading books is one of those things I wish I started doing at an early age. It has countless benefits such as improving your focus, boosts your sleep, and enhances imagination and empathy, and so on. Also, it’s very addicting if it becomes a habit. If not the only one, it’s one of those addictions that is good for your mind, body, and soul.
#8 – Journaling
Writing can help you assimilate ideas, develop a sense of innovation, relieve stress and amplify focus, and gives a sense of relief through writing down worries and fears. It also helps you make better choices and helps you manifest your dreams and goals in life. Just as reading books, there are countless powerful mental health benefits in writing, and not all people are even aware of this.
#9 – Exercise
One of the secrets of successful people is to keep their minds and body proactive. Exercise is the best way to activate that. Also, have you noticed that whatever your body does, your mood follows through? You control your mood and emotions through your body, not the other way around. Besides, exercise keeps your body fit and healthy.
#10 – Drink More Water
Sometimes, whenever we feel sleepy, we thought we lack sleep, but all we need is water. Sometimes whenever we feel hungry, we thought we’re starving, but all we need is water. Water is also the king of weight loss. Make a habit of drinking a lot of water regularly, and you will notice your metabolism boost.
#11 – Eating Healthy
We are what we eat. There are two kinds of food; those that elevate our vibrational energy and those that lower our vibrational energy. Sometimes, the illnesses we get are from the processed foods we eat, and those times that we have uplifting moods are because of the healthy foods we eat.
#12 – Learn to Take Care of a Plant
Learning how to take care of a plant is like practicing how to take care of something valuable, may it a baby, a spouse, or a pet. You water it to grow beautiful and cut its dead leaves to avoid it from spreading to other parts. Also, plants help keep fresh air, reduce pollution, and will even help improve productivity and boost your mood.
#13 – Learn How to Look Good
Looking good increases your confidence and your performance in your activities. Besides, it’s always good to see people who are pleasant to look at.
#14 – Less Time on Social Media
Gadgets and screens has consumed so much of people’s lives. The more we spend our time on social media, the less productivity we accomplish.
#15 – Listen to Positive Music
Music is a great way to change someone’s mood. Always train your mind to welcome positive emotions.
#16 – Grab Opportunities and Face Fears
Uncomfortable feelings are signs of growth. Feel your fears when you grab excellent opportunities, but do it anyway regardless of the outcome. Don’t be afraid to fail. Do it again and again until you notice yourself not fearful anymore, which leads to more chances of success on things you want to attain.
#17 – Meet New Friends
Every soul that comes into our lives has its role in our journey, may they be a lesson or a blessing, both are beneficial.
#18 – Seeing the Good in Others
I have noticed that whenever I choose to see the good in someone, which makes me interact with that person more positively, they eventually do the same. Seeing the good side always leads to a better path.
#19 – Overlook People’s Flaws
Sometimes, it’s tempting to want to change someone’s shortcoming by getting angry at them. But try this method; encourage them to make better decisions by being kind to them and accepting them for who they are, and they will listen to you rather than get defensive. They will likely get inspired to better themselves. This is not always easy to do as a human being, but it’s a beautiful mindset to include in our character that promotes peace.
#20 – Be Generous
The more you give to others, the more you receive. It’s obviously in the bible and in the Laws of the Universe, the law of giving and receiving. Life is energy, everything is energy, and what you give out to the world will come back to you in so many ways. But don’t give for the sake of receiving something back, give because you have something to offer.
#21 – Focus on One Task at a Time
Multitasking can help you get things done faster, but it can do more harm than good. When you try to expend extra energy on more than one thing, your mind ends up exhausted and will have less concentration. I loved multitasking, but I realized that focusing on one task at a time is very beneficial. Whenever I focus on one thing, I get to enjoy what I’m doing rather than feeling stubborn out of dividing my attention into many tasks.
#22 – Focus on the Present Moment
Time is an illusion. The past and future are an illusion. The reality is in the now; not five minutes ago, not after an hour, but now. Right here, at this moment, you’re reading these words is your reality. Don’t let your past and future get so much of your attention. #23 – Get Yourself a Pet
Do you know that animals are guardians of Being? Whenever you’re down or sad, you won’t be able to explain why but they just lift up your energy and comfort just by touching them or even just seeing them.
#24 – Forgive People
Releasing feelings of resentment toward a person who has harmed you regardless of whether they actually deserve your forgiveness is a true sign of maturity. It does not mean you let them hurt you again, and it does not always mean you accept them back in your life; it still depends on the situation. Forgiveness means you free yourself and the other person from negativity.
#25 – Be Kind
Everyone, including yourself, is fighting a battle. Kindness is a healing place that everyone needs. Kindness is not a weakness as it requires courage and strength. It is an act of love that empowers someone’s soul and yours. Be kind, always.
